People & Time
AbdulQader AlRais documents the revolution of the crucified stone-throwing Palestinian, the persecuted and the rebel all in one. He grieves the history of his nation and watches the eruptions of his time. Still, he does not turn his back to its realities, and yet he feels no resentment in reaction to his reality. There is the intensity and hardship of those hoping for better and for equality. This awareness is only occasionally differentiated from drawing and coloring: it is an awareness of insight, while the vision of beauty and formations in color rebel against the rejected, unacceptable reality that must be isolated.
